Reminder - Be Kind To Me!

Why do I do this to myself?

Why do I load up my schedule with so many things that I am almost ready to fall over from exhaustion?


So it seems I need a little reminder about being kind to me . I am feeling exhausted by the week that just went by and tired at the thought of the work that I still have ahead of me.

What do you do to manage your stress? Do you have any tricks for not getting overwhelmed?

  1. In our home, the recipe is exactly what you said: do not overplan. We are lucky in a sense to be far away from our family: most weekends, we don't have anything planned. So we can adapt and if one of the parents needs a nap or some time , the other one takes the kids and vice-versa.
    And learn to say no.
    Oh, and a good movie and red wine on Saturday night. Or chocolate. Or both. I watched Delicacy with Audrey Tautou (Amelie) on Saturday night and it really helped me unwind.

    1. Thanks Elise. You are so right about learning to say NO! The one good thing is that my husband and I have learned to take turns sleeping in on the weekends and that is a big help!
